How is presence calculated?

For each tracked prompt and each surface, we generate the AI answer using a search-enabled model. A small LLM then parses that answer and returns a structured result: is your brand mentioned? are any cited URLs from your domain? which competitor domains showed up? We also run a deterministic regex check against your brand name and aliases. When the LLM and the regex disagree, or when confidence is low, the run is routed to /visibility/uncertain for your manual approval. Presence score is the fraction of tracked-prompt runs in the last analysis cycle where your brand was confirmed present.
